Open to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders!  Come ski and board at Ski Sundown this winter! A coach bus will pick up participants and chaperones at SQL at 3pm and will escort participants to Sundown. Participants have the option to take lessons or ski on their own during this time. The coach bus will return to SQL at 7:45pm for parent pick-up.

There are limited number of spaces available for this program. You will register online through Sign-Up Genius.

Registration will open Friday, October 11th and is on a first come first served basis.  We do anticipate this program will completely fill up.

Please note, your online registration does NOT secure a spot unless your paperwork and payment is received.  Failure to return the completed paperwork and payment within the specified timeline will result in your child’s spot in the program to be forfeited and fee refunded.

*Please note: PTO Scholarship Funds available: No student should be denied access to SQL Clubs and Activities due to financial hardship. Please reach out to Marisa Nelson (SQL Social Worker) mnelson@simsburyschools.net if you feel you may need scholarship help for this activity. All requests will be kept confidential!

Forms can be either:

  • Scanned and emailed to melofrese@gmail.com, or
  • Send forms with your child to SQL and have them return to the “Ski Club folder” held at the front office.

Required forms to be returned can be found on the PTO site and on the SignUpGenuis site. These forms include:

  • 2025 Ski Sundown Participation Information and Program Agreement
  • 2025 SQL Registration-Consent Form
  • Student Behavior Contract
  • 2025 SQL Chaperone Information and Agreement (only required if chaperoning)

This program depends on parent volunteers! Please sign-up to volunteer if you can chaperone all or a few weeks of the program. The program will not run if we do not have enough parent chaperones. Chaperones can ski/board during the program for free, but do not need to.

LOST AND FOUND INFORMATION

Gear must be labeled! Many season long rentals look the same. Ensure your child's gear is labeled so they do not miss out on ski time. The best way to mark your child's name on skis and snowboards is with duct tape.

LESSON LEVEL INFORMATION

If you are signing your child up for lessons, please select only 1 level. If you are unsure, go with the lower level, and the instructors at Ski Sundown will move your child to a correct level if needed. Chaperones will show students the lesson location the first day of the program, but do not enforce lessons- it is up to your student to attend.
