Squadron Line Book Dedication Program
Squadron Line School Library Media Center has an exciting program to recognize special family occasions and to build the library collection at the same time.
Dedicating a book is a great way to acknowledge a special event such as a birthday or a holiday, or to honor a special teacher. Here are additional ideas for Book Dedications.
- Thank you to a teacher or staff member at Squadron Line
- In memory of ________
- Birthday
- Gotcha Day
- Grandparents Day
- Pet adoption or in memory of a beloved pet
- SQL Alumni
- Special Family Occasion
Book Dedication’s will happen the 1st Wednesday’ of the month. Teachers and Students will be notified when their Book Dedication date will be and head a specific time frame to go to the Library Media Center for their Book Dedication.
Mr. Sepa will have a selection of brand-new hardback books reserved for this program. Books ordered through this program will be selected to meet the needs of the Library and help increase the amount of books available to check out. Students will select a book for the Book Dedication program, and a book plate will be affixed inside the book acknowledging the dedication.
The student participating in the Book Dedication Program will be the first one to check out the book they have chosen to dedicate. When the book is returned, it becomes part of the Squadron Line Library Media Center Collection.
Book Dedication fee is $25.
